RestaurantGeneral Manager Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Operations/DistrictManager and is the primary support for the management teams in their respectiverestaurant location.
Managethe performance of multiple Restaurant Managers (RM), Shift Leaders (SL) and Employees
Promotea fun and positive work environment
Developfuture leaders for the company
Managethe effectiveness of people focused processes and systems
Ensureindividual unit is always staffed adequately which includes: employeeretention, communicating staffing needs to DO/Recruiting and checking ATS eachmorning for new applicant flow, including the selection, development andperformance management of employees
Provideinitial and ongoing training to all employees within the unit utilizingSmashConnect LMS, and 4 step method of training
Rewardand recognize employee performance that exceeds company standards
Engagein talent reviews and performance conversations for all RM/RS in theirrespective restaurant
Partnerwith Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to manage progressive disciplinaryprocesses that arise with the unit
Resolveall employee relations issues with the assistance of the DO/SDO and HRBP
Managewith integrity the daily completion of operational check lists to include
Linechecks and uniform standards
Opening/closingcheck lists
Safeand deposit logs
ManageFSC operational standards daily and complete a corrective action plan for everyFSC audit performed by SDO, DO, and QM
Managethe guest experience metrics (NPS and OSAT) and resolve all guest complaintswithin 24 hours of the incident through use of Medallia
Ensureall food safety standards are followed and in compliance with all local healthdepartments
Exemplifyguest service on each shift of the day and communicates SIZZLE servicestandards to the employees
Managethe successful onboarding and training for all new employees
Facilitateroutine management communication
Managethe businesses spends through allocations and usage of company declining budget
ManageCOGS through PAR ordering management, inventory, and FIFO reporting
Managespending in accounts cleaning, small wares, and operating costs
Followand ensures company cash policies to ensure minimal losses through theft orshortages
Buildsales through community involvement and improvement of FSC operations withinthe unit
Managelabor cost through effective wages within the hourly minimums in accordance tostate laws
Participatein P&L reviews with SDO and DO
Buildschedules based on company forecast tool and allowed labor percentages. Whilereacting daily to sales trends and reducing labor scheduled when needed
Managelocal store marketing programs as assigned
Restaurant General Manager Requirements
1-2years of Restaurant General Manager experience in restaurants
Flexibleto work nights, weekends, and holidays
FollowSmashburger uniform standards
Abilityto follow all guidelines and procedures set forth by Smashburger, local, state,and federal employment regulations
Mustsuccessfully complete Smashburger training program
Possessstrong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectivelycommunicate with restaurant management, front line employees and corporatesupport teams
Peoplemanagement skills to effectively select, assess, coach/counsel, develop,motivate, and lead restaurant teams
Excellentattention to detail
Proventime management, consistency, and organizational skills
