Job Summary of Assistant Restaurant Manager:

Reporting to the General Manager, the Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for supervising the employees within the IHOP restaurant. They focus on driving profitability and boosting sales while upholding the high-quality standards and service expectations set by IHOP.

Responsibilities of Assistant Restaurant Manager:

• Carrying out the annual financial plans, community restaurant advertising campaigns, customer care enhancements, and staffing objectives in line with the IHOP Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and the restaurant's operational strategy
• Cultivating and sustaining productive functional partnerships with restaurant hourly workers and the franchisee group
• Overseeing the restaurant's floor operations and emphasizing regular engagement with diners. Addressing customer grievances in a prompt and professional manner to maintain an acceptable level of complaint frequency.
• Maintaining conformity to SOP guidelines concerning employee recruitment, training programs, operational tasks, food handling processes, hygiene standards, and security protocols is crucial.
• Administering supervisory responsibilities that involve tasks such as recruitment, selection, instruction, managing workflow, assessing performance, recognizing achievements, implementing disciplinary measures, and resolving conflicts and concerns.
• Meeting deadlines for paperwork and reports while managing employee files containing the necessary legal and employment documentation.
• Capable of covering shifts on weekdays, evenings, and weekends

Qualifications of Assistant Restaurant Manager:

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Ability to speak and read English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence and ability to speak effectively before groups of employees and guests.
• Basic computer skills including Email, MS Excel, MS Word is a plus
