Maintenance Technician

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Maintenance Technician for Legacy Restaurant Group, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment at our Wendy's restaurants. You will be organized, able to work independently and have experience with repairing a wide range of restaurant equipment, electrical systems, heating systems, HVAC/Refrigeration, plumbing and painting. Your technical expertise will ensure our restaurants maintain operational excellence and minimize equipment downtime. Key responsibilities include:

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair cooking, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment.
• Repair and maintain commercial kitchen equipment including ovens, grills, fryers, and other cooking appliances.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all restaurant equipment to minimize breakdowns.
• Treat customers and employees with respect, courtesy, and professionalism.
• Complete all service calls promptly as assigned.
• Order parts and complete required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in the on-call rotation schedule to respond to urgent equipment issues.
• Maintain service vehicle in clean, organized condition with necessary tools and parts.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform repairs as needed.
• Diagnose and repair plumbing issues in restaurant facilities.
• Perform painting and minor facility repairs as required.
• Work independently to prioritize and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
• Communicate effectively with restaurant management regarding equipment status and repair needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Effective communication skills.
• 100% dedication to working hard, being on time, and staying organized.
• Maintain a professional personal appearance.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to safely lift to 50 lbs., climb and balance on a ladder, and work in elevated/high locations.
• Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
• Ability to walk, climb or balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to use required hand and power tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of commercial experience as an HVAC and Refrigeration tech preferred.
• Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical skills preferred.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• Active EPA Certification preferred.
• Experience with commercial kitchen equipment repair.
