Job Description: Grill/Broiler Cook

Within the responsibilities of the Grill/Broiler Cook is the important task of overseeing the Hot Choice Buffet products to ensure they are up to standard in taste, quantity, freshness, and quality. The Cook also gives importance to working efficiently, keeping the kitchen clean, organizing well, and following product guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Follows the recipes and procedures outlined by Golden Corral to prepare Carving and Display Cooking products for the Hot Choice Buffet.
• Utilizes Golden Corral guidelines to grill items correctly and maintain quality control.
• Promises that all fried items are kept fresh and served with optimal heat.
• If the Buffet Attendant is not present, the Cook steps in to refill the items on the Display Cooking Station.
• When the Carver is unavailable, they provide support to guests looking for different options for carved meats.
• Upholding the buffet production system in its entirety to secure quality outcomes and ensure adherence to shelf life stipulations.
• Keeps all items at the required temperature during cooking, holding, and serving.
• Abides by the recommendations in the Equipment Maintenance manual for the proper care of machinery.
• Maintains food stock levels through the systematic rotation prescribed by the FIFO method.
• Examines product stock and verifies it against the Manager's build-to requirements at the start and end of each work shift.
• Observes the regulations imposed by the local health authorities.
• Keep the char grill clean and scraped to maintain food quality and adhere to sanitation guidelines.

Guest Service:

• Guarantees that Hot Choice Buffet items, specifically Display Cooking products, are kept warm and fresh for guests to enjoy.
• Understands and fulfills the responsibilities associated with just-in-time delivery.
• Offers a warm and courteous reception to customers and supports them in finding products.
• Demonstrates continuous professionalism in communication practices.
