The Hourly Shift Manager at Chicken Salad Chick is a key leadership position responsible for supporting the General Manager (GM) and Assistant Manager (AM) in the daily operations of a fast-casual restaurant. • Successful completion of the official Shift Leader training courses provided by the Corporate Training Department.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support to the General Manager and Assistant Manager in all aspects of running the restaurant, while remaining conscious of the operating budget.
• Directly supervise and coach hourly staff during assigned shifts, ensuring high standards of performance and customer interaction.
• Uphold all company standards for food safety, preparation quality, and adherence to corporate handling protocols.
• Guarantee that all established Chicken Salad Chick operating procedures are consistently followed in the dining area, service counter, and kitchen.
• Maintain the highest level of guest hospitality and service quality throughout the shift.
• Process and maintain shift-related documentation, including team member schedules, personnel files, and financial reports, as directed by upper management.
• Ensure that all daily specials, ongoing promotions, and marketing efforts are implemented according to company guidelines.
• Make immediate operational decisions during the shift, such as assigning staff positions, handling minor disciplinary issues (when acting as Manager on Duty), and ensuring the facility remains clean and sanitary.
• Maintain strict compliance with all local, state, and Federal health, safety, and sanitation regulations while on duty.
• Key hiring, termination, salary adjustment, purchasing, and master scheduling decisions will be referred to the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
