Qualifications

• Prior experience in a fast-paced restaurant or kitchen environment preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality and proper storage.
• Capability to handle physical demands of the job, including standing for extended periods, lifting, and carrying.
• Must be able and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Minimum age 18 years.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all pantry and food storage areas, including shelving, refrigerators, and walk-ins.
• Support the culinary team by accurately prepping ingredients, such as washing, cutting, and portioning fruits, vegetables, and other items as directed.
• Assist with the proper storage, labeling, and rotation of all food items and supplies to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
• Properly receive and organize deliveries of pantry items, ensuring all goods are checked for quality and stored according to company standards.
• Adhere strictly to all operational, safety, and sanitation standards, company policies, and federal/state/local regulations, particularly those related to food handling.
• Proactively identify and address any issues related to food quality, spoilage, or storage in the pantry area.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure a smooth flow of ingredients for meal preparation.
• Assist with inventory counts of pantry items as needed.
• Ensure all prep tools and equipment are clean and properly stored after use.
