Role and Responsibilities of Food Operations Manager:
In the capacity of a Food Operations Manager, your responsibilities will revolve around supervising and managing the operations of specific shifts within the restaurant setting. You will play a vital role in working closely with the restaurant management to provide the necessary guidance and training for each shift to excel in meeting and exceeding our customer's expectations. Your key focus areas will include overseeing the frontline staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, maintaining operational efficiency, and supporting the management team in reaching the restaurant's objectives effectively
Organize and oversee all restaurant operations for a shift, ensuring efficient and effective management from start to finish.
Develop, mentor, and train personnel to enhance team performance.
Build a pleasant and welcoming ambiance for both work and dining settings.
Stay alert and strengthen the enforcement of food safety procedures throughout the shift.
Reach store sales and profit goals by streamlining operational processes and procedures.
Adhere to the QSC requirements to ensure that standards of quality, service, and cleanliness are upheld.
Secure the well-being of Wendy's brand and valuables.
Show a continuous drive to deliver outcomes and consistently meet set targets.
Make a concerted effort to meet and surpass customer expectations for a fulfilling experience.
Offer guidance, monitor, and encourage crew members in practicing safe food handling techniques.
Take on the role of Cash Manager when called upon, which includes the tasks of configuring cash registers in the morning and verifying cash amounts at the end of the day.
Complete walkthroughs to verify that the restaurant is set up for service commencement or conclusion, and is also prepared for peak business hours.
Collaborate with the restaurant management team to enhance the training and development of crew members and Team Trainers to optimize staff retention.
Manage, organize, and allocate operational responsibilities, guaranteeing alignment with Company policies and regulations.
Support the restaurant management team in maintaining adequate coverage through crew member schedules to meet and exceed customer service benchmarks.
Strive to meet financial targets by monitoring food and labor expenditures.
Maintain a uniform approach to enforcing company policies and procedures.
Maintain oversight of food preparation activities to ensure quality assurance.
Partner with colleagues to achieve sales goals and propel revenue growth.
Rapidly address customer complaints and promptly resolve any guest-related issues.
Required Skills and Experience of Food Operations Manager:
It is necessary to be at least 18 years old.
A high school diploma or its equivalent is the preferred educational background, along with having all the mandatory documents needed by state and federal regulations.
Candidates should possess a minimum of one year of experience as a Food Operations Manager or in a similar role, with a preference for individuals who have experience in high-volume QSR or fast-casual concepts.
Openness to working rotational schedules, which could involve weekends and holidays.
Demonstrated proficiency in managing and leading your own team in a quick-paced and dynamic surrounding.
