Subway Team Member

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Subway Team Member, you will be at the forefront of the customer experience, preparing food, ensuring cleanliness, and adhering to Subway's standards for quality and service excellence.

• Demonstrate a welcoming and positive attitude when greeting customers and efficiently fulfilling their requests.
• Display an understanding of the menu options and provide accurate explanations to guests.
• Operate a Point of Sale (POS) system or cash register to record transactions, calculate totals, and process customer payments.
• Follow the Cash-In Procedure to document and verify all payment transactions during assigned shifts.
• Prepare sandwiches and menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring timely service.
• Monitor and restock ingredients in the sandwich preparation area to maintain adequate inventory throughout the shift.
• Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and handling standards during preparation, service, and cleanup.
• Maintain a clean and orderly restaurant environment by performing regular cleaning duties across all areas.
• Comply with the quality standards, formulas, and operational guidelines detailed in the Subway Operations Manual.
• Ensure personal grooming and appearance align with Subway's established policies.
• Complete light administrative or paperwork tasks as assigned by management.
• Successfully finish the required coursework through the University of Subway in accordance with company guidelines.

Required Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification required.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions effectively.
• Proficiency in using computerized Point of Sale (POS) systems or cash registers.
• Flexibility to work across multiple restaurant sections as needed.
• Physical ability to bend, stand, and walk for extended periods during shifts.
• Capability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in restaurant, hospitality, or customer service roles is beneficial but not required.
• Strong motivation for professional growth and a proactive approach to learning and development.
