Part Time Clerk

Role and Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of the Part-Time Clerk is to represent the Subway brand as its front-facing ambassador. You will provide exceptional customer service, prepare food according to company standards, and maintain cleanliness and organization in the workplace.

• Create a positive and welcoming atmosphere for guests, ensuring they feel valued during their ordering experience.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of menu items and communicate them clearly to customers.
• Operate a Point of Sale (POS) system or cash register to record transactions and process payments accurately.
• Maintain accurate records of cash handling and accounting-related activities.
• Prepare food systematically, following prescribed recipes and within designated timeframes.
• Monitor sandwich preparation areas and replenish ingredients as necessary throughout the shift.
• Follow established food safety, handling, and sanitation protocols during preparation, serving, and cleaning.
• Adhere to the three-step cleaning process and maintain a hygienic environment at all times.
• Comply with quality standards, formulas, and operational procedures outlined in the Subway Operations Manual.
• Maintain professional appearance and grooming standards as detailed in the Subway Operations Manual.
• Complete assigned administrative or paperwork tasks as needed.
• Fulfill the educational components outlined by the University of Subway curriculum.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Education: Completion or ongoing pursuit of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• No prior experience required; ability to follow written and verbal instructions effectively.
• Physical ability to work in various restaurant areas, operate a POS system, and remain standing, bending, or walking throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and occasionally handle items up to 30 pounds.
