Regional Manager

Job Summary of Regional Manager:

In your role as a Regional Manager at a SONIC Drive-In eatery, you are the commander spearheading the charge to provide America with a more satisfying food service experience. You will be engaged in training and backing drive-in restaurant team members, guaranteeing the delivery of food in a spotless, secure, and effective manner, and making sure that customers enjoy a superb dining experience.

Responsibilities of Regional Manager:

• Supervises, trains, monitors, and provides guidance to carhops and skating carhops
• Manages and assigns roles to employees at drive-in restaurants as required, aiming to maintain operational excellence in food service delivery
• Ensures that employees adhere to and are monitored for compliance with the drive-in employee handbook and guidelines
• Undertakes the necessary actions for the commencement or conclusion of service at a dining venue
• Organizes employee schedules and monitors restaurant staffing to ensure appropriate levels
• Oversees and sustains restaurant inventory quantities, ensuring optimal levels are maintained
• Ensures the proper completion and maintenance of all drive-in restaurant employment records and payroll documentation
• Instills a customer service ethos in the workforce, making sure that all team members are dedicated to meeting customer needs unfailingly.
• Speedily and courteously attends to guest needs.
• Communicates guest concerns to the supervisor and contributes to resolving them in a timely manner
• Engage in interviewing and selecting candidates for restaurant positions to achieve the desired staffing balance
• Compile all pertinent operational reports and establish actionable plans to mitigate unfavorable financial or sales developments
• Establish and carry out a structured approach to promote and sell a product or service

Requirements of Regional Manager:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Advanced studies in business, restaurant management or related fields are preferred
• Minimum of two (2) years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred), experience running shifts without supervision
• Required to work a minimum 5 day workweek with 4 closing shifts (or 4 day workweek guaranteed) including irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices
• Knowledge of federal and state labor laws as well as local health and sanitation laws and regulations
• Leadership and supervisory practices and skills; effective verbal and written communication skills
• Basic accounting and computer skills
• Ability to follow directions and work with autonomy once given directions; ability to multi-task and successfully solve problems
• Problem solving, decision-making and conflict-resolution skills
  Willingness to abide by the appearance, uniform and hygiene standards at SONIC
