Game Room Technician at Dave & Buster's. This role involves maintaining the optimal operational state of all amusement equipment and ensuring a superior guest experience in the Midway area. Technicians are vital to the successful running of the entertainment venue by performing both proactive and reactive maintenance on a variety of electronic and mechanical games, simulators, and technical systems. They are also frontline support, actively assisting guests to ensure maximum fun and playability throughout the facility.

Qualifications:

• Possess a highly positive and sociable demeanor, with the ability to maintain a welcoming attitude across varied shifts including daytime, evenings, and/or weekends.
• Demonstrated capability to articulate information clearly and effectively to both patrons and internal colleagues.
• Must meet the minimum age requirement of 18 years old.

Responsibilities:

• Midway Technicians or Gaming Support Staff are responsible for all general repair, upkeep, and preventative maintenance of the venue's assets, including amusement games, simulation units, and related technical gear.
• Proactively engage with patrons and continuously monitor the arcade floor to maintain perfect playing conditions at all times.
• Deliver an outstanding customer experience by combining top-tier dining, beverage, and gaming options in an environment designed for ultimate entertainment.
• Immediately inform the direct manager of any major issues or unusual circumstances and either take necessary corrective measures or propose alternative solutions.
• Ensure prompt, accurate assistance, manage wait times effectively, and relay important information to guests, teammates, and leadership as necessary.
• Enthusiastically welcome guests with a positive attitude while managing multiple duties.
• Acknowledge and greet all patrons upon their entry to the game area.
• Efficiently assist patrons by executing timely repairs and maintenance on amusement machines.
• Restock and secure ticket dispensers in redemption games, paying meticulous attention to securing all ticket inventory zones.
• Address all patron inquiries, provide necessary assistance, and offer recommendations when appropriate.
• Offer a pleasant farewell to departing guests, confirming satisfaction and extending an invitation for a return visit.
• Alert management immediately if a patron appears dissatisfied or unhappy.
• Manage the inventory, presentation, and security of merchandise in all storage areas.
• Perform merchandise counts during and after scheduled shifts, if applicable.
• Verify and replenish all necessary operational supplies.
• Ensure all designated work areas comply with company standards.
• Communicate any ongoing issues or areas needing attention to the Manager.
• Regularly inspect the cleanliness and organization of all Midway games.
• Confirm that all games are spotless and free of obstructions.
• Arrange and position displays strategically to enhance patron traffic and boost sales performance.
• Support the routine maintenance and organization of the technical workshop and storage facilities.
• Execute daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly game maintenance procedures safely and effectively as directed by facility management.
• Assist with general facility maintenance tasks when instructed by management.
• Provide support to other team members as required.
• Foster and maintain strong, collaborative professional relationships with all company personnel to ensure a productive and positive working atmosphere that maximizes team member effectiveness and morale.
