Assistant Dining Manager

Job Summary of Assistant Dining Manager:

Being an Assistant Dining Manager at IHOP requires strong leadership skills to facilitate the restaurant's success by offering exceptional guidance. We seek individuals who are enthusiastic and committed to hospitality, capable of supervising daily functions, directing team members, and upholding superior levels of quality, service, and customer contentment.

Responsibilities of Assistant Dining Manager:

• Support in reaching the expected levels of revenue and earnings
• Foster and uphold positive working connections with restaurant employees, Corporate and Regional staff, as well as customers.
• Roll out the Restaurant Training Program aimed at all hourly employees in the restaurant setting to enhance unit functionality and enhance customer service standards.
• Support in achieving annual financial targets, promoting the restaurant locally, and enhancing customer service experiences at the assigned establishment.
• Follow guidelines set forth by federal, state, and local authorities.
• Aid in attracting, educating, and keeping team personnel.
• Keep appropriate stocks of food, paper products, kitchen essentials, safety supplies, janitorial items, uniforms, and other miscellaneous provisions.
• Adhere to federal guidelines and standard operating procedures to guarantee the proper functionality of equipment, building structures, and premises.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines, as well as SOP, in maintaining safety and sanitation standards
• Help in finalizing all mandatory reports and any other administrative responsibilities as designated.

Supervisory Responsibilities of Assistant Dining Manager:

• Directly supervise team members at assigned unit.
• Assist General Manager with the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of Company unit.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training team members
• Planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and setting performance expectations for the shift.

Qualifications of Assistant Dining Manager:

• A high school diploma or equivalent, combined with two to four years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equal mix of education and practical exposure, is necessary.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
• A current Driver's License is required for individuals driving on behalf of the Company.

Physical Demands of Assistant Dining Manager:

• Rise to your feet, move about, and take a resting stance.
• Utilize hands for the purpose of contacting, gripping, operating, or perceiving objects, instruments, or devices.
• Hunch, bow, prostrate, or move on hands and knees; communicate or listen attentively; and sample or perceive scents.
• The Manager will regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
