Job Summary: Broiler Cook

Overseeing the Hot Choice Buffet goods to make sure they meet standards for taste, quantity, freshness, and quality is a crucial part of the Broiler Cook's duties. Working effectively, maintaining a clean kitchen, being well-organized, and according to product instructions are all important to the Broiler Cook.

Food Production:

• Ensures that all Carving and Display Cooking dishes for the Hot Choice Buffet are made according to Golden Corral's recipes and procedures.
• Ensures that the grilling process aligns with Golden Corral's expectations for quality assurance.
• Promises the continuous delivery of fried items that are freshly cooked and hot.
• Should the Buffet Attendant be unavailable, it is the Cook's duty to replenish the items on the Display Cooking Station.
• If the Carver is not present, they aid patrons in exploring the various choices of carved meat available.
• Upholding the buffet production system in its entirety to secure quality outcomes and ensure adherence to shelf life stipulations.

Guest Service:

• Ensures the consistent warmth and freshness of Hot Choice Buffet selections, particularly Display Cooking items, to meet guest expectations.
• Recognizes and follows the position obligations in relation to just-in-time delivery.
• Demonstrates a welcoming and respectful attitude towards customers while aiding them with their needs.
• Upholds a standard of professional communication consistently.

Operational Excellence:

• Maintains the proper temperature for all items while cooking, storing, and serving.
• Utilizes the Hot Choice Buffet Production Guide and the Display Cooking Hot Cook Production Guide for managing the stock of all hot cook items.
• Manages the commencement and conclusion of administrative tasks.
• Carries out regular maintenance on equipment as per the directives provided in the Equipment Maintenance manual.
• Implements a system of replenishing and rotating food products based on the FIFO principle.
• Monitors product inventory and cross-checks it with the Manager's build-to specifications at the beginning and conclusion of shifts.

Cleanliness:

• Validates the cleanliness of the cooking area and small kitchen tools, inspecting dishes for cleanliness as a precautionary measure.
• Oversees the duty roster and ensures compliance with cleanliness, service, and quality standards.
• Follows the rules and regulations enforced by the local health department.
• Ensure the char grill is consistently clean and free of contaminants to maintain sanitation and product quality.
