Job Summary of Senior Manager, FSQA Produce:

This role will ensures that all fresh produce and raw agricultural ingredients for Chipotle restaurants in the U.S. and Canada meet the highest food safety and quality standards. This role involves extensive travel to supplier locations, auditing, risk assessment, and mentoring of analysts, with the goal of strengthening Chipotle’s produce supply chain and FSQA programs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Senior Manager, FSQA Produce:

• Develop and execute FSQA strategy for the Produce category, aligned with departmental and company goals.
• Conduct supplier audits, provide guidance on compliance, and close non-conformance reports in a timely manner.
• Train and manage second-party auditors and analysts, providing mentorship and development opportunities.
• Monitor Food Quality Reports and proactively address potential supply risks with suppliers and distribution centers.
• Maintain and calibrate supplier scorecards, FSQA manuals, and digitized product specifications.
• Lead traceability efforts in collaboration with the Traceability and Quality Management Systems teams.
• Stay informed of industry trends and provide recommendations to mitigate produce-related risks.
• Represent Chipotle at industry conferences and technical committees to advance food safety initiatives.
• Ensure internal programs and documentation, such as GFSI lists, CAPAs, and risk assessments, are up-to-date.
• Analyze historical and environmental data to anticipate and mitigate potential quality issues.
• Present quarterly produce updates at Food Safety Advisory Council meetings.

Qualifications and Experience of Senior Manager, FSQA Produce:

• Bachelor of Science in Food Science, Food Microbiology, or related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in the food or agriculture industry with direct involvement in FSQA, auditing, risk reduction, and program implementation.
• Strategic thinker with strong relationship-building, mentorship, and program development skills.
• Familiarity with major produce suppliers and distribution centers in the U.S. and Mexico, including industry groups such as CPS and LGMA.
• Experience working with FDA, USDA, and other regulatory agencies.
• Proficient in data analysis, statistical evaluation, and Microsoft Office tools.
• Self-starter with strong motivation and discipline to manage tasks and business needs effectively.

Salary:

The base pay range for this position is $147,000 - $217,500 per year, with eligibility for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based on performance.
