A position is open for an outgoing sandwich artist to be a part of our team

But first... what is a Sandwich Artist The Sandwich Artist is the face of our brand. They are responsible for greeting and serving guests, preparing food, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, and handling light paperwork. Exceptional customer service is a fundamental of this position.

Candidates exhibiting business proficiency, a keen interest in acquiring new knowledge, and the ability to handle responsibilities will be reviewed for managerial positions and corporate opportunities.

PREREQUISITES:

Education: Meeting the requirements for a high school degree or its similar credential.

Experience & Skills: Prior experience is not a prerequisite; however, candidates must show competence in following written and verbal directives.

Candidates are required to have the physical ability to perform tasks in various restaurant areas and use a computerized POS system/cash register. The position involves bending, standing, and walking for the entirety of the work shift. The capability to lift 10 pounds regularly and up to 30 pounds occasionally is necessary.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Demonstrates a friendly and welcoming demeanor while interacting with guests and fulfilling their requests with efficiency.
• Displays a complete understanding of the menu items and articulates them accurately to customers.
• Operates a Point of Sale system or cash register to register the order and determine the total amount owed. Collects payment from customers and gives back any change due.
• The process entails accounting for cash, checks, and other monetary items collected throughout the working hours.
• Implements a methodical approach to food preparation, adhering to guidelines, and completing tasks promptly.
• Reviews the products in the sandwich unit location and restocks them as needed to ensure there is enough supply for the entire shift.
• Grasps and respects the correct methods for food handling, safety, and sanitation during meal preparation, service, and clean-up.
• Adheres to the 3-step cleaning process to sustain the cleanliness and hygiene standards of the restaurant.
• Capable of understanding and adhering to all quality standards, formulas, and procedures detailed in the SUBWAY Operations Manual.
• Abides by the outlined professional appearance and grooming standards as directed in the SUBWAY Operations Manual.
• Executes minor administrative paperwork as allocated.
• Successfully fulfills the University of SUBWAY program requirements.
