Role and Responsibilities:
As a Line Cook at Yard House, you are the Heart of Our House preparing and plating high-quality dishes quickly and consistently while following food-safety and sanitation standards. You will work closely with the culinary team to keep service flowing and guests happy.
Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to Yard House recipes and presentation standards.
Maintain proper food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene practices at all times.
Execute menu prep and station setup for service periods; restock and rotate ingredients as needed.
Work efficiently under pressure to deliver timely, consistent orders during peak service.
Communicate clearly with cooks, servers, and managers to coordinate timing and special requests.
Keep production areas, equipment, and utensils clean and organized throughout the shift.
Follow opening, closing, and shift-change procedures; help train and support teammates as needed.

Required Skills and Experience:
Previous kitchen or line-cook experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment preferred.
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, portion control, and food prep.
Ability to follow recipes and plating specifications consistently.
Comfort working in a high-energy environment and standing for long periods.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Commitment to food safety, sanitation, and proper handling procedures.
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by restaurant scheduling.
Preferred Qualifications:
Culinary school training or formal culinary certifications.
Experience with high-volume, scratch-kitchen operations.
Familiarity with working multiple stations (grill, sauté, fry, garde-manger, etc.).
Ability to mentor newer cooks and help maintain consistent station performance.
Compensation and Benefits:
