Job Duties and Responsibilities of Assistant Store Manager:
- Act as an ambassador for the Dairy Queen brand, ensuring professionalism in all aspects of performance.
- Greet and welcome fans enthusiastically, contributing to a positive brand experience.
- Deliver fan-first service by exceeding customer expectations with timely and quality service.
- Ensure that all operations, including inventory and cash controls, meet or exceed Dairy Queen brand standards.
- Incorporate PRIDE systems and routines into daily operations, setting up each shift for success.
- Analyze issues impacting the restaurant's profit & loss (P&L) and take corrective actions to optimize sales and profit.
- Assist the General Manager with the hiring, training, coaching, and development of Shift Leads and Crew Members to build a highly skilled and productive team.
- Maintain a positive, safe, clean, and inviting environment for both customers and team members.
- Resolve customer concerns calmly, following Dairy Queen's service recovery standards.
- Collaborate with management and team members to maintain a cooperative and harmonious working relationship.
- Assist the General Manager with local store marketing activities, including public and community relations programs and evaluating competitors' strategies.
- Exhibit a genuine passion for excellence in all aspects of the role.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support restaurant operations.
Qualifications and Experience of Assistant Store Manager:
- Minimum of 1-3 years of high-volume restaurant leadership experience, preferably in quick-service restaurants.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven ability to manage cost of goods sold (COGS) and labor effectively.
- Strong knowledge of and adherence to safe food handling practices.
- ServSafe certification or ability to become ServSafe certified.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in and out of different temperature ranges.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple aspects of the business in a fast-paced environment.
- Exhibit good manners, personal hygiene, and punctuality at all times.
- Maintain a fun and positive attitude throughout the shift, contributing to a positive team atmosphere.
