Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a cook or in a high-volume kitchen environment is highly preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team setting.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining food quality and safety standards.
  • Capability to handle the physical demands of the job, including standing for extended periods, lifting, and carrying.
  • Must be able and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Minimum age 18 years.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to Outback Steakhouse's standardized recipes and quality specifications.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, fryers, and ovens.
  • Ensure all food items are cooked to the correct temperature and plated attractively.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout shifts, adhering to all sanitation guidelines.
  • Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, portioning, and preparing ingredients as needed.
  • Manage food inventory, ensuring proper rotation and storage to minimize waste and maintain freshness.
  • Adhere strictly to all operational, safety, and food handling standards, company policies, and federal/state/local regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff and other kitchen team members to ensure smooth service.
  • Proactively identify and address any food quality or preparation issues.
