Assistant General Manager

Job Summary of Assistant General Manager:

The role of an Assistant General Manager at IHOP involves offering exceptional leadership to help the restaurant flourish. We are looking for professionals who are passionate and dedicated to the hospitality field, able to oversee daily operations, lead team members, and maintain exceptional standards of quality, service, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities of Assistant General Manager:

• Aid in meeting the planned objectives for revenue and earnings
• Develop and uphold professional functional relationships with restaurant employees, Corporate and Regional personnel, and guests.
• Enforce the Restaurant Training Program for all hourly employees within the restaurant environment to optimize unit performance and elevate the quality of guest service.
• Provide assistance in carrying out the yearly financial targets, marketing initiatives within the community, and tactics to elevate guest service performance for the assigned unit.
• Abide by the regulations established by federal, state, and local governments.
• Support in the selection, coaching, and retention of team members.
• Maintain proper levels of food items, paper supplies, kitchen essentials, safety products, cleaning materials, uniforms, and various other supplies.
• Keep equipment, building structures, and premises operating smoothly by following federal regulations and standard operating procedures.
• Secure adherence to safety and sanitation regulations established by federal, state, and local entities, as well as SOP procedures
• Aid in the accomplishment of all needed paperwork and additional administrative tasks as given.

Supervisory Responsibilities of Assistant General Manager:

• Lead and supervise the team members within the designated unit.
• Support the General Manager in providing leadership, coordination, and assessment for the Company unit.
• Execute managerial duties while complying with organizational policies and applicable laws.
• Obligations include conducting interviews, recruiting, and training members of the team
• Formulating plans, assigning tasks, and managing operations; evaluating performance, incentivizing employees, and establishing performance criteria for the shift.

Qualifications of Assistant General Manager:

• The position mandates a high school diploma or a General Education Development (GED) certificate, in addition to two to four years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent amalgamation of education and practical familiarity.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
• Operating a vehicle on Company matters necessitates the possession of a valid Driver's License.
