Job Summary of Risk Analyst:

You are responsible for investigating basic to moderate level Workers Compensation claims, ensuring that claims are handled properly. The position works closely with Operations to meet their needs and represents the Panda Restaurant Group in litigated workers compensation matters when necessary. Analyzes claim trends to identify broader issues and recommends solutions while working with the Risk team and vendor partners to improve the WC claims program.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Risk Analyst:

• Investigate basic to moderate-level Workers’ Compensation claims, maintaining accurate records and proactive claim reviews.
• Achieve key metrics in alignment with risk finance objectives.
• Work closely with other team members to develop risk and safety programs, training materials, and presentations for Operations.
• Triage claims at the first report, making decisions about the disposition of claims.
• Develop strong relationships with Operations and contribute to mitigating risks at the store level.
• Assist associates with their needs before, during, and after claims have occurred.
• Communicate regularly with claim adjusters, outside defense counsel, and insurance brokers.
• Collect pertinent evidence for claims files and run ad hoc reports for Risk department leaders.
• Contribute to safety compliance, exposure savings, and reduction in claims frequency and severity.
• Conduct presentations and site inspections on safety issues.
• Attend regional meetings and support Operations compliance with safety programs.
• Achieve positive feedback from Operations and SC leaders.

Qualifications and Experience of Risk Analyst:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of three years of relevant experience required.
• ARM, AIC, CPCU, WCCA, and/or SIC certifications (Worker’s Compensation) preferred.
• Successful completion of required trainings and obtaining a valid Food Handler’s Card within 30 days of employment.

Salary:

Pay: $72,500 - $101,500 per year. Individual pay is determined based on various factors including experience.
