Role and Responsibilities of Restaurant Maintenance Engineer:

In the capacity of a Restaurant Maintenance Engineer at Legacy Restaurant Group, your primary function revolves around troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment at Wendy's restaurants. It is imperative for you to be well-organized, capable of working autonomously, and possess experience in repairing various types of restaurant equipment, electrical systems, heating mechanisms, HVAC/refrigeration units, plumbing fixtures, and performing painting tasks. Your technical expertise is essential in ensuring the operational efficiency of our restaurants and decreasing equipment downtime. Key duties consist of

• Troubleshoot and repair faults in cooking, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment through detailed diagnostic processes and efficient repair techniques.
• Provide maintenance and repair solutions for a range of commercial kitchen equipment, including ovens, grills, fryers, and related cooking appliances.
• Implement preventive care on restaurant equipment to uphold its functionality and reduce the need for unexpected repairs.
• Practice respect, courtesy, and professionalism when engaging with customers and employees.
• Promptly attend to and complete all assigned service calls.
• Timely completion of paperwork and ordering of necessary components.
• Get involved in the on-call rotation timetable to respond to urgent equipment issues promptly.
• Ensure the service vehicle is neat and well-equipped, with all the necessary tools and supplies.
• Rectify electrical system faults through troubleshooting and repair techniques.
• Assess and address plumbing issues occurring in restaurant facilities.
• Execute painting assignments and address minor facility upkeep.
• Prioritize and efficiently complete tasks in a self-sufficient manner.
• Record in detail the work conducted, components employed, and hours invested in each project.
• Make sure to effectively discuss equipment conditions and repair needs with restaurant management.

• The basic educational qualification needed is a high school diploma or its comparable.
