Role and Responsibilities:

As a Checkout Operator at Wingstop, you will be responsible for handling guest orders, managing transactions, and supporting the team in delivering an outstanding customer experience. You will be the first and last point of contact for many guests, ensuring their interaction with Wingstop is smooth, friendly, and positive.

• Welcome guests warmly, whether in person or over the phone, to create a friendly and inviting environment.
• Accurately enter customer orders using the POS system to ensure efficiency and precision.
• Stay knowledgeable about menu items, sauces, and current promotions to provide informed recommendations.
• Process transactions accurately, including handling cash, credit cards, and gift cards.
• Verify that all orders are accurate and presented correctly before they are delivered to guests.
• Ensure orders are prepared and fulfilled promptly according to estimated delivery or pickup times.
• Balance the cash drawer at the end of shifts and maintain accurate transaction records.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all customer-facing areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards to ensure a clean, safe, and compliant environment.
• Address guest questions or concerns professionally, escalating to management when appropriate.
• Represent the Wingstop brand through professionalism, positive energy, and consistent service quality.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience as a cashier or in restaurant operations is preferred but not required.
• Must possess or be willing to obtain a valid Food Handler Certification.
• Proficiency in operating POS systems and processing various payment methods.
• Strong math and cash-handling skills with a focus on accuracy and accountability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage positively with guests and team members.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, team-driven work environment.
• Dependable, respectful, and consistently professional in all interactions.
• Demonstrates honesty, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility in every task.
