Qualifications:
Must be at least 16 years old.
No prior professional experience is necessary.
A strong capacity to understand and deliver polite, effective guest service.
Familiarity with and adherence to proper food safety, hygiene, and local serving regulations.
Competency in handling various forms of payment, including cash and credit card transactions, in accordance with company policy.
Basic ability to use common office equipment like phones and computers.
A keen eye for detail, coupled with excellent organizational and time management skills.
The ability to maintain a professional, courteous attitude and exhibit strong listening and communication skills.
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
Capability to work effectively under pressure in a high-volume setting, while remaining adaptable and efficient.
This role requires consistent punctuality; the ability to stand or walk for long periods; frequent actions such as hearing, speaking, reaching, bending, balancing, kneeling, and lifting items up to 50 lbs; and tolerance for temperature variations and frequent hand immersion in water or cleaning solutions.
Specific vision requirements include close-up, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Responsibilities:
Warmly greet and bid farewell to all restaurant patrons.
Manage guest seating efficiently using the Table Management System (TMS) to support the service team and maximize guest happiness.
Strictly follow the proper procedures for utilizing the TMS to manage the flow of seating.
Effectively use the Wait and Reservation lists within the TMS platform.
Maintain a positive, welcoming demeanor and actively contribute to a collaborative, team-focused atmosphere.
Enthusiastically assign tables to guests via the TMS; politely manage expectations and communicate wait times if necessary.
Inform guests about daily specials and current promotions, answer menu questions, and provide thoughtful suggestions.
Promptly address and resolve minor guest issues or concerns, escalating complex matters to a manager.
Actively assist service team members by running food and drinks, pre-bussing tables, and ensuring drinks are refilled quickly.
Organize, stock, and maintain the server assistant station and the front lobby area, ensuring cleanliness and order.
Answer incoming phone calls and courteously assist guests with their inquiries.
Accurately deliver food and beverage orders to the correct guests when necessary.
Always adhere to safe food handling practices and cleanliness standards.
Manage and bag takeout orders, double-checking for completeness and accuracy.
Ensure all departing guests receive a friendly farewell and politely request feedback on their service experience.
Monitor the dining room, keeping track of table status (clean, occupied, or dirty); quickly clean and reset tables as needed.
Fulfill guest requests promptly, such as providing additional silverware or beverage refills.
Perform light cleaning duties around tables and in the dining area, including sweeping, as needed.
Complete other assigned duties as required by management.
