District Manager

Job Title: District Manager 

Job Summary:

As a District Manager, you will play a vital leadership role in overseeing the operational success of 5-7 Popeyes restaurants within your assigned district. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, you are responsible for driving sales growth, optimizing profitability, and ensuring compliance with all company policies and operational standards. Your leadership will empower Restaurant General Managers and their teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences while maintaining high standards in safety, quality, and service.

Responsibilities:

• Lead financial planning including sales projections, expense budgeting, and capital expenditures to maximize profitability and efficiency.
• Monitor and analyze Profit & Loss statements, labor costs, and inventory to identify areas for improvement and take corrective actions promptly.
• Conduct regular visits and assessments of each restaurant to evaluate performance and identify training and development needs.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as Popeyes operational standards and company policies.
• Collaborate with training teams to maintain at least one Training Restaurant and ensure all shift personnel meet required certifications.
• Address customer complaints and priority issues promptly, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Manage staffing, retention, and turnover by forecasting needs, hiring qualified managers, and conducting performance reviews.
• Oversee internal audit controls, cash handling procedures, safety protocols, and risk management across all district locations.
• Coach and mentor restaurant management teams to improve performance, leadership, and teamwork.
• Conduct monthly district meetings for operational reviews, training updates, and strategic planning.
• Implement marketing programs and maintain competitive awareness to support sales growth.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Preferred Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Business, Management, or related field; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• 5-7 years of multi-unit management experience in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry or related food service operations.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to build, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
• Strong financial acumen including expertise in P&L management, labor analysis, inventory control, and cost management.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and engage teams and stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and adaptable to new technologies.
• Valid driver’s license with current insurance; ability and willingness to travel up to 60% of the time, including nights and weekends.
• Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment with a commitment to making data-driven decisions.
