Role and Responsibilities:
As a Deli Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving delicious sandwiches while maintaining high standards of food safety and customer service. You will also assist with restaurant operations and ensure cleanliness throughout your shift.
Exhibit a positive and interactive demeanor when greeting customers and arranging their orders thoughtfully.
Demonstrate expertise in the menu and provide accurate descriptions to customers.
Operate the Point of Sale system or cash register to process orders and handle customer payments.
Manage cash, checks, and monetary items collected during operational hours.
Use precise measurements and follow prescribed methods to cook and assemble dishes efficiently.
Monitor and replenish food items in the sandwich unit as needed to ensure sufficient stock levels.
Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and handling standards during preparation, serving, and cleanup.
Follow the structured three-step cleaning process to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the restaurant.
Comply with the quality standards and procedures outlined in the SUBWAY Operations Manual.
Uphold professional grooming and appearance in accordance with SUBWAY brand guidelines.
Complete light administrative and paperwork duties as required.
Successfully fulfill all University of SUBWAY program requirements.
Required Skills and Experience:
Completion of high school education or an equivalent qualification.
Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions effectively.
Capability to assist in various restaurant operations as needed.
Proficiency in operating a computerized Point of Sale system or cash register.
Physical ability to stand, bend, and walk for the duration of the shift.
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and 30 pounds occasionally.
Preferred Qualifications:
No prior experience required; however, a demonstrated eagerness to learn and follow instructions is highly valued.
