Customer Service Rep

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Customer Service Representative, you will interact directly with customers, prepare products, and support daily store operations. You will ensure timely and accurate order processing while maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness.

• Operate all store equipment safely and effectively.
• Stock ingredients from delivery areas to storage, workstations, and walk-in coolers.
• Prepare food products according to company standards.
• Receive and process telephone and in-person orders accurately.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and facility on a daily basis.
• Follow orientation and on-the-job training protocols.
• Comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Communicate clearly with customers and team members to process orders.
• Perform basic math tasks, including making correct monetary change.
• Enter orders accurately using a computer or touch screen.
• Follow safety protocols when handling hot surfaces, sharp tools, or moving equipment.
• Assist with maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
• Basic math skills and the ability to make correct change.
• Motor coordination to perform tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity for food preparation and equipment use.
• Ability to work alone or as part of a team under stress and meet quality control standards.

Physical Requirements:

• Standing for most tasks; walking short distances for short durations.
• Lifting bulk product deliveries up to 50 lbs using a hand truck.
• Carrying items such as large cans, pizza sauce (up to 30 lbs), and trays of pizza dough (approximately 12 lbs each).
• Pushing and pulling trays on dollies requiring up to 7.5 lbs of force.
• Occasional climbing of stairs or ladders for maintenance tasks.
• Stooping, bending, crouching, squatting, and reaching frequently and as required for tasks.
• Continuous use of hands for food preparation and manipulation of tools such as pizza peels, cutters, and boxes.

Work Conditions:

• Exposure to varying temperatures from 36°F in coolers to above 90°F in work areas.
• Occasional outdoor work when removing trash or performing other tasks.
• Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.
• Cramped work areas including walk-in coolers.
