Role and Responsibilities:

As a Kitchen Prep Staff member, you will play an essential role in creating and serving high-quality sandwiches while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards. Your responsibilities include delivering excellent customer service and supporting restaurant operations efficiently.

• Exhibit a friendly and responsive attitude when welcoming guests and accommodating their needs.
• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of menu items and accurately describe them to customers.
• Use a Point of Sale (POS) system or cash register to record transactions, calculate totals, and process payments.
• Follow the Cash-In Procedure to record and authenticate all payment transactions during shifts.
• Prepare food items with precision, adhering to recipes and ensuring timely service.
• Monitor inventory levels at the sandwich station and restock items as necessary to ensure continuous product availability.
• Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and handling protocols throughout preparation, service, and cleaning.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all restaurant areas to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Comply with the quality standards, formulas, and operational procedures outlined in the Subway Operations Manual.
• Ensure that employees maintain professional appearance and grooming standards as per the Subway Operations Manual.
• Complete light administrative and documentation duties as assigned.
• Successfully complete required coursework at Subway University according to established guidelines.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Educational background equivalent to a high school diploma or similar academic qualification.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions effectively.
• Capability to work across various sections of the restaurant as needed.
• Basic computer proficiency for operating a Point of Sale (POS) system or cash register.
• Physical ability to bend, stand, and walk for extended periods during shifts.
• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 10 pounds frequently and handle items up to 30 pounds occasionally.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in food preparation, restaurant service, or customer-facing roles is advantageous but not required.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for continuous growth and efficiency in daily responsibilities.
