Role and Responsibilities:

The Cashier manages customer transactions, balances registers, and ensures accurate pricing while delivering excellent customer service. This role requires attention to detail, strong math skills, and a friendly, professional demeanor.

• Greet customers as they enter and leave the store, providing friendly and helpful service.
• Manage transactions using the cash register and product scanner.
• Balance the cash drawer during and after shifts.
• Scan goods and ensure pricing and quantities are accurate.
• Accept payments in cash, credit, or check, and provide change and receipts.
• Issue coupons, vouchers, stamps, or gift cards when applicable.
• Process returns, refunds, and resolve customer complaints promptly.
• Bag and wrap purchased goods for safe transportation.
• Upsell and cross-sell products when appropriate to enhance customer experience.

Required Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience operating POS systems and cash registers preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in handling transactions.
• Strong math and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to resolve customer concerns effectively.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
• Previous cashier or retail experience is an advantage but not required.
