Food Counter Attendant

Role and Responsibilities:

• Assist customers in a cheerful and efficient manner, ensuring prompt and accurate order processing.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of menu offerings and effectively communicate details to guests.
• Input order details into the Point of Sale (POS) system or cash register, process payments, and return correct change to customers.
• Accurately document and handle daily cash and other financial transactions following company procedures.
• Prepare food items systematically while adhering to Subway's recipes and operational standards.
• Monitor and restock the sandwich preparation area to maintain sufficient product levels throughout the shift.
• Comply with all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards during food preparation, service, and cleaning.
• Maintain restaurant cleanliness by following the structured three-step cleaning procedure.
• Uphold Subway's grooming and professional appearance standards as detailed in the Operations Manual.
• Perform basic administrative and documentation tasks as assigned.
• Complete all required training programs through the University of Subway platform.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Education: Enrollment in or completion of a standard high school education or equivalent.
• No prior experience is required; however, the ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions is essential.
• Ability to operate a computerized POS system or cash register efficiently.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and bend throughout the work shift, and lift 10 pounds regularly and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
