Acting as a pivotal team member, the Food Runner is responsible for maintaining open lines of communication between kitchen and service staff, ensuring a coordinated effort in delivering meals to guests. An effective Food Runner plays a crucial role in upholding the restaurant's reputation for exceptional service and customer satisfaction.

Core Responsibilities and Obligations:

• Quickly and effectively brings cooked meals from the kitchen to guests in the dining area, ensuring that all items are served with the appropriate presentation and temperature.
• Ensures familiarity with menu items and changes to facilitate accurate order execution and address guest inquiries effectively.
• Abides by company and local guidelines for food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices in all food and equipment handling tasks.
• Engages in effective communication with kitchen and serving teams to guarantee precise orders and timely course execution.
• Ensures polite and skilled interactions with diners, addressing their inquiries and requests promptly to elevate the overall dining satisfaction.
• Collaborates to uphold cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Performs prescribed extra duties, such as refilling supplies, shining flatware, setting up or dismantling service areas, and ensuring cleanliness is maintained.
• Partners with coworkers to support company service norms and ensure a uniform level of guest happiness.
• Executes supplementary duties as required by supervisors or managers.
