Job Description:

We are in search of an outgoing and enthusiastic individual to fill the position of Deli Counter Attendant (Sandwich Artist) on our team.

The Sandwich Artist serves as the frontline representative of the Subway brandengaging with guests, preparing delicious sandwiches, maintaining hygiene and sanitation standards, and handling basic administrative duties. Exceptional customer service is central to this role, ensuring that each guest feels valued and leaves with a positive impression.

Prerequisites:

• Completion of education equivalent to a high school diploma.
• Skills & Expertise: Prior experience is not required, but candidates must demonstrate the ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Physical Demands: Applicants must be able to work in various restaurant areas and operate a computerized Point of Sale system or cash register.
• The role involves frequent bending, standing, and walking during shifts.
• Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and 30 pounds occasionally.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly and promptly attend to their orders and needs.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of menu offerings and clearly explain them to customers.
• Accurately process transactions using a Point of Sale system or cash register and return correct change.
• Implement the Cash-In Procedure to ensure accurate tracking and accountability of all cash transactions.
• Prepare sandwiches and other menu items according to established Subway procedures without delays.
• Monitor stock levels in the sandwich unit and restock as needed during shifts to ensure uninterrupted service.
• Comply with all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols during preparation, serving, and clean-up.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas of the restaurant to uphold a professional appearance.
• Follow all quality standards, formulas, and processes outlined in the SUBWAY Operations Manual.
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards as stated in the SUBWAY Operations Manual.
• Complete assigned paperwork and documentation accurately and promptly.
• Fulfill the eligibility requirements and complete courses offered through the University of SUBWAY training program.
