A station cook is in the role of creating, cooking, and serving food that satisfies requirements for safety, quality, and flavor. They adhere to recipes, monitor portion sizes, and make sure food is prepared in accordance with client or business requirements.

Responsibilities of Station Cook:

• The Station Cook at Five Guys consistently grills burgers to be juicy and well-cooked, skillfully prepares an array of sandwiches, and fries Idaho potatoes flawlessly with every order.
• The goal of this job is for individuals to achieve mastery in each specific position through a 3-4 week training period.
• The functions of each role intersect with the next, enlightening a dedicated chef on the necessity of managing multiple tasks and working together with their team.
• Besides cooking and prepping meals, an enthusiastic Station Cook is accountable for managing kitchen cleanliness, stocking essentials, and fostering a vibrant ambiance for patrons.
• Experience in the food service sector is advantageous but not essential.
• Having a teamwork-oriented approach and being highly skilled at finding solutions are critical qualities for this role.
• The energy and endurance of the crew are pivotal in maintaining a harmonious and effective team dynamic in the workplace.
• Ability to work at a fast pace. Our kitchens have a ton of energy, on-the-line communication and job rotation. Its not for everybody.
• Effective communication is a cornerstone of our team's success, as members communicate openly, participate, and keep each other informed about ongoing activities as they occur.
