Operations Assistant Manager

Job Summary of Operations Assistant Manager:

As an Operations Assistant Manager at IHOP, you will play a vital role in leading the restaurant to success. We are searching for candidates who are driven and enthusiastic about the world of hospitality, with the capacity to manage day-to-day operations, mentor team members, and uphold high standards of quality, service, and guest approval.

Responsibilities of Operations Assistant Manager:

• Assist in achieving the budgeted targets for sales and profits
• Establish and sustain professional functional working relationships with restaurant staff, Corporate and Regional team, and clientele.
• Establish the Restaurant Training Program targeting restaurant hourly non-managerial staff with the goal of refining unit operations and enhancing customer interaction.
• Assist in executing the annual financial plan, local promotion efforts for the restaurant, and initiatives to enhance customer service at the designated location.
• Meet the requirements outlined in federal, state, and local statutes.
• Help with the recruitment, education, and preservation of team associates.
• Monitor and restock food, paper goods, kitchen supplies, safety gear, janitorial items, uniforms, and miscellaneous supplies as needed.
• Comply with SOP and federal regulations to uphold the operational status of equipment, building structures, and premises.
• Maintain safety and sanitation standards in accordance with federal, state, and local mandates, alongside following SOP guidelines
• Assist in carrying out all required reports and various administrative duties as instructed.

Supervisory Responsibilities of Operations Assistant Manager:

• Exercise direct supervision over the team within the assigned unit.
• Aid the General Manager in directing, coordinating, and evaluating the performance of the Company unit.
• Undertake supervisory responsibilities in line with company policies and legal requirements.
• The role entails engaging in interviews, hiring, and educating team members
• Organizing tasks, delegating work, and leading operations; assessing performance, granting rewards, and setting performance targets for the shift.

Qualifications of Operations Assistant Manager:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two to four years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
• A valid Driver's License will be necessary to drive a car on Company business.

Physical Demands of Operations Assistant Manager:

• Be in a standing position, move around by foot, and relax in a seated pose.
• Use hands in the action of touching, grasping, maneuvering, or detecting various items, tools, or controls.
• Crouch, bow down, kneel, or move on all fours; engage in conversation or actively listen; and savor or detect scents through the nose.
• The Manager will regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
