Food Prep Assistant

Role and Responsibilities:

• Provide friendly and attentive service to every guest, ensuring a positive dining experience from start to finish.
• Prepare sandwiches and other menu items accurately according to Subway's established recipes and presentation standards.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system or cash register to process orders and handle transactions efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of cash handling and daily sales during operational hours.
• Ensure consistent food quality, safety, and sanitation in all food preparation areas.
• Monitor ingredient levels and restock as necessary to maintain adequate supplies throughout shifts.
• Adhere to the three-step cleaning and sanitization process to maintain restaurant cleanliness.
• Follow grooming and uniform standards as outlined in the Subway Operations Manual.
• Complete assigned documentation and reports as directed by management.
• Successfully complete University of Subway training modules as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• No prior experience is necessary; comprehensive training will be provided.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for customer interaction.
• Reliable, punctual, and capable of performing tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods during the workday.
• Capability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and 30 pounds occasionally.
• Proficiency in using a computer-based POS system for processing transactions.
