Role and Responsibilities:
The Facilities Manager plays a critical role in overseeing restaurant operations, driving profitability, and ensuring that the restaurant provides an excellent guest experience. You will support the Restaurant General Manager in daily operations, focus on developing leadership within the team, and ensure the facility operates smoothly and efficiently.
Core Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Leading the Business:
Manage inventory spending and maintain inventory accuracy by conducting daily, weekly, and monthly inventory checks.
Accept and process incoming inventory deliveries from suppliers.
Supervise and review an inventory log to track all restaurant assets.
Ensure timely and proactive maintenance of the restaurant's facilities and equipment to meet company guidelines, coordinating with external suppliers when necessary.
Monitor adherence to cash control and security procedures, including safe counting and cash register management.
Create Memorable Experiences:
Resolve issues with guests who have had negative experiences, providing support and solutions to ensure satisfaction.
Motivate and guide the team to exceed guest expectations by delivering prompt, accurate, and friendly service in a well-maintained environment.
Collaborate with the Restaurant General Manager and team to develop strategies for improving guest satisfaction metrics.
Creating Leaders:
Recruit and assess potential candidates for employment within the company.
Provide orientation and training to new team members.
Develop and manage team schedules, ensuring smooth onboarding and induction processes.
Support shift leaders in enhancing their leadership skills and team effectiveness.
Create a positive and engaging team culture within the restaurant.
Leading Store Operations:
Oversee restaurant employees to ensure efficient and accurate food preparation and timely service, meeting established speed of service guidelines.
Ensure compliance with operational and brand standards across all restaurant activities.
Track team performance and adjust staffing levels as needed to meet operational goals.
Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in operational performance.
Qualification and Skills:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED required.
At least 2 years of experience in a fast-food or restaurant setting, with a preference for previous management experience.
Strong understanding of profit and loss statements and the ability to influence business profitability through effective management.
Proven leadership skills with a focus on team development.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Willingness to work extended or flexible hours to ensure the smooth operation of the restaurant.
Physical Demands:
Regularly required to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to handle boxes and other items weighing up to 50 pounds efficiently.
Proficiency in product preparation and handling tasks.
Ability to squat and lift items safely, including securing and opening a safe.
Consistently perform lifting tasks to organize, stock, and manage inventory for meal preparation.
