In charge of the Hot Choice Buffet, the Dietary Cook ensures that all food items meet the criteria of being high-quality, sufficient in quantity, delightful in taste, and freshly prepared. The Cook also emphasizes maintaining a quick pace, cleanliness, orderliness, and compliance with product standards in the kitchen.

Food Production:

• Ensures that Carving and Display Cooking products for the Hot Choice Buffet are made in accordance with Golden Corral's recipes and procedures.
• Follows the specified Golden Corral procedures when grilling to deliver high-quality dishes.
• Ensures that the quality of fried products remains high with a focus on freshness and heat.
• In the event that the Buffet Attendant is not around, the Cook takes on the responsibility of refilling the items on the Display Cooking Station.
• If the Carver is not present, they aid patrons in exploring the various choices of carved meat available.
• Comprehensive application and observance of the buffet production system to uphold quality control and shelf life compliance.

Operational Excellence:

• Maintains the ideal temperature for all products throughout the cooking, holding, and serving stages.
• Relies on the Hot Choice Buffet Production Guide and the Display Cooking Hot Cook Production Guide to maintain records of all hot cook products in stock.
• Undertakes the start and finish of administrative protocols.
• Observes the maintenance protocols outlined in the Equipment Maintenance manual for equipment upkeep.
• Organizes food restocking and rotation procedures according to the first-in, first-out technique.
• Reviews product levels and confirms them with the Manager's build-to inventory during shift commencement and closure.

Cleanliness:

• Maintains the cleanliness of the Hot Cook area and small kitchen items, conducting regular inspections of dish cleanliness.
• Manages the duty assignment and ensures that cleanliness, service, and quality criteria are met.
• Complies with the requirements specified by the local health department.
• Regularly remove buildup and maintain cleanliness on the char grill to ensure both product quality and sanitation are upheld.

Guest Service:

• Maintains the hot and fresh quality of Hot Choice Buffet products, like Display Cooking offerings, to provide guests with a satisfying dining experience.
• Recognizes and follows through with the position tasks related to just-in-time delivery.
• Provides amicable and respectful service to guests and assists them with their product needs.
• Consistently upholds professionalism in all communication exchanges.
